'Laughingstock' fears aside, Senate plans to study itself (Ottawa Citizen)


Conservative Senator Anne Cools took exception to the Senate calling the special committee's report "comprehensive" since it would only be studying possible reforms during a three-month period.

"My particular question is how a committee can do a comprehensive review of anything in only three or four months. This is the sort of thing that makes us the laughing stock of the nation."
