Sneak provision

Re: "'Maximum contact' principle in jeopardy," Dec. 18.

The federal government is proposing changes to the custody and access laws.

These are not the progressive changes their own commission recommended. The Justice Department tried to sneak the changes in without mentioning they were going to de-emphasize the "maximum contact" requirement in the current act, which is the only progressive part of the legislation. The only Liberal to slam this change is Senator Anne Cools. Shame on the rest of you.

Again, you have proven that you have no regard for the children who are being affected by your unthinking, unfeeling, unconscionable actions.
