Voters cold to idea of Turner switching his party allegiance (The Globe and Mail)


Contoversy still swirled yesterday around the decision to eject Mr. Turner from caucus. One caucus member said the party's leadership has created an environment where MPs feel muzzled.

"Members of Parliament are supposed to hold the leadership accountable," Tory Senator Anne Cools said. "What we now have is the reverse of that, where if a leader doesn't like what you're saying, boom, an axe descends."
